After watching Michelle Obama speak tonight, i had to reflect on the moment--here is a African-American woman, lawyer, and mother of two, giving a keynote address at the Democratic National Convention. Amazing progress, but it's been a long time coming. And as I turn towards the problem of Malaria in Africa, i wonder when will progress reach this continent? How will Obama and McCain address the tragedies of Sudan, Kenya, the Congo?
